Lauren M. Curet (Blue Belt)

Student – Central Queens Karate Dojo

My favorite part about Karate is when the lower ranking belts get to watch the senior students free fight (kumite) because you can't free fight until you are 4th Kyu.  My favorite exercise in Karate is shockingly the push-ups because it gives you more strength and gives you confidence.  I also enjoy the meditation sessions and the lectures from Kaicho...........

Akmeir Allah (4th Kyu Green Belt)

Student – Central Queens Karate Dojo

My name is Akmeir Allah. My first contact with Seido Karate came about through a friend and   co-worker who was a Green Belt at the time. This was back in 1981 or 1982. His first name was Donald, and he would find an empty room everyday at lunch time and practice his round house kicks and other basics. I was thoroughly amazed at his level of ability, and I permanently became a fan of the Seido style of Karate-Do and his other techniques.........

Quinitin Stewart (6th Kyu Yellow Belt)

Student – Central Queens Karate Dojo

Quinitin Stewart is (18) eighteen years old. He originally started his karate training at the age of (7) when his mother, Elizabeth Stewart, brought him to Central Queens Seido Karate. He joined along with his sister, Sintora, who was all of six years old. Quintin’s mother knew of Seido Karate from her parents who were already members.  Although it meant travelling from Brooklyn she signed them up saying “I want no less for my children.  If they are going to study karate it could only be at the Central Queens Dojo.”....
